 Course Objectives:

  • To understand and analyze the factors that affect the various measuring units.
  • To choose the appropriate meters for measuring the electrical quantities & understand the concept of calibration or standardization.
  •  To Describe the operating principle of AC & DC bridges for measurement of passive elements.
  •  To Understand the concept of the transducer and their effectiveness in converting from one form to the other form for the ease of calculating and measuring purposes.
  • To Understand the operating principles of basic building blocks of digital systems, record and display units.

Course Outcomes:

Having successfully completed the course the student will be able

CO1:- To Explain the construction and working of  various types of Analog Instruments

CO2:- To Describe the construction and working of wattmeter and power factor meters

CO3:- To Determine the electrical parameters (Passive) using DC and AC bridges

CO4:- To Understand the operational concepts of various transducers.

CO5:- To Explain the construction and operation of Digital meters.
