Course Objectives

l  To understand the construction, principle of operation and performance of DC machines.

l  To describe the effect of Armature Reaction, importance of Commutation and losses in a DC Machine.

l  To study the methods of speed control and methods of testing methods to calculate the efficiency.

l  To explain the principle and operation of transformer, equivalent circuit models of transformers.

l  To analyze the different testing methods for 1-Фtransformers, Poly-phase Connections to connect three phase transformers.
